A Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Innovation at the Trinity Business School

Dr Maria Gallo is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Innovation at the Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Dr Gallo’s research focuses on alumni potential. She believes alumni networks can enhance their personal and professional lives along with the communities in which they live.  She has over 20 years’ experience in higher education leadership in Ireland and Canada, including the National University of Ireland, Galway and the University of Toronto. Following her doctoral studies in higher education at the University of Sheffield in 2010, she has published extensively on alumni and philanthropy. Alongside her fellowship, Dr Gallo is the Founder of KITE- Keep in Touch Education, a social enterprise that focuses on alumni potential projects. Dr Gallo’s book The Alumni Way: Building Lifelong Value from Your University Investment was published by the Policy Press- Bristol University Press in September 2021.
