A Harvard MBA intrigued by the making of great universities-institutions and the evolution of universities-cities inspired by *mission-driven Harvard *Dean Graves’70* and managing strategic faculty’s *’conflict of interest’* (and *MIT President* Chuck Vest’99 proposition of *’conflict of commitment’*) he imagined a *four-decade preparation* in teaching, banking & consulting and directorships *angled at institutions of higher learning* (fortuitously came to pass) with select research & writing  whilst on global business & social enterprise in a dozen countries.

For a decade, he served on the QS World University Ranking’s Asia Pacific Professional Leaders in the Education *Conference Academic Committee*; and was *Visiting Fellow at Cambridge* University. He was conferred a *Chevalier of the French Order of the Palmes Académiques* by the French government. The book seeded the co-founding & launch of the *Harvard SG Foundation* with $1 million for the *capacity building of CEOs* for our valued NPOs & NGOs,  with then Emeritus Senior Minister Goh as Patron. It will fund in perpetuity two scholarships to the advanced management programme SPNM for NPOs at Harvard Business School (40 graduands, to date).
